A girl asked if I I had a girlfriend. I said no, she said why. I said I don't know I like being single and all etc. Few days later I was telling her something and she brought it up again, said why don’t you get a girlfriend etc. is that interest or just casual conversation?

Hmm that's kinda weird that she keeps bringing it up. Maybe she's interested? Hard to say for sure.

A few possibilities I could see:

- She could just be making conversation and trying to understand why you're single. Like she's curious, but not necessarily into you or anything.

- But it's also possible she likes the idea of you having a girlfriend so she can set you up with someone... unless maybe she wants it to be her? Girls can be sneaky like that sometimes.

- OR she might lowkey be hinting that SHE wants to be your girlfriend. Bringing it up more than once could mean she's into you and wondering why you're still single when she's available lol.

Honestly it's tough to say for sure without getting to know her better. I'd just play it cool next time she mentions it. Maybe say something like "I guess I'm still waiting for the right girl to come along" and see how she reacts. Pay attention to if she seems jealous or into you. The only way to find out is to maybe casually ask her to hang out just you two and see how it goes! Let me know what happens, I'm curious now haha.

Unfortunately a lot of people feel like if you aren’t in a relationship or dating then you’re miserable and lonely. That is not the case.

I guess you could call it casual, but if I were you I’d avoid talking about that. It’s annoying when people are bound and determined to set you up with someone or find you a person when you’re fine how you are.

Saying “I don't know, I like being single and all” is not much of an excuse for staying single.
