Guys, For how long will I be single and lonely?

The worst feeling is not being lonely, sometimes it's being forgotten. At 35, I feel lonely, empty and isolated with no friends or significant other. I crave for affection, genuine audience and bondship. Will I ever find one has been the question have been asking myself for quite sometime now?

I don't know why you're asking only guys this question because girls know a lot more about how to get guys than guys do, but fill every day with large groups of people. If you only do it one day a week it's not going to work.

Find a job where you work with a lot of people every day, look for volunteer groups where there are a lot of people, do after work activities with a lot of people (hiking or biking or cooking or climbing or wine tasting or any number of things, look on Meet Up for ideas), weekends with large groups of people, church or some organization with large numbers of people. You'll start having a lot of friends right away, and eventually you'll bump into someone you're interested in.

Sitting alone worrying about it is not going to help. Get around people, all the time.

Get out. Take a dance class. or any class. Go to free concerts. Check out museums or art galleries. Volunteer. There are lots of places to meet interesting people, but it does take some effort and breaking the patterns that have led you to where you are.
