I am. I've been bullied into it.
As a kid, I was very extrovert. You could just talk to me, and you'd be my friend. Then I went to middle school and people suddenly seemed to notice I was ginger and ugly. Which made me a target for many people, to the point where I started hiding and be silent.
And here's where my shyness comes from.

I was horribly shy as a kid up through being a young man.
I finally made up my mind to work at not being shy.
It took a solid year or so of hard, terrifying work before I was able to say that I'm no longer shy.

I no longer have a shy bone in my body.

I'm shy well my therapist says I'm selective and now that I think about it, I sort of am. I am not shy around people I know well but I'm shy around new people, I guess as a defense mechanism from being judged as I was judged a lot when I was a kid for being different.

Yes, I am very shy in real life. I am very uncomfortable with new people and in large companies. I am absolutely afraid of guys. That is, even if I like him, I spend myself like an idiot. And I hate it and I don't know how to overcome it...

but I used to be an extremely and painfully shy kid, young teen... lol

it's something I did work on all my life, well the first half of my life... and it got much better, gradually and, eventually... it all went away, nobody that met me during the second part of my life would ever guess that once, I was a terribly shy person, lmao
