You're either attracted to someone or not at all. It doesn't matter if they are single, in a steady relationship or married. That doesn't add to or subtract from the potential of being attracted to her or not.

The important thing is what you do with the attraction and if you decide to act on it or not.

But I also think that, when attraction really kicks in and develops into something more, into deeper feelings, the knowledge that the other person is not available will make the attraction stronger and less likely to fade away. Everything that is unattaibable, inaccessible and off limits will have a tendency to reinforce it. It's like the forbidden fruit: you know you shouldn't get close, but the attraction to get near is strong.
