Would you date someone with epilepsy?

I'm asking because I'm seeing so many people in epilepsy groups talk about dating problems due to the condition. I personally never had issues in the dating department while living with epilepsy.

If it is too severe no. There is some people who have more than one seizure per day and medication cannot even help some people stop having seizures.

If they are one of those people who seizure activity is under control by medication and they are not having seizures all the time then sure I would consider them

I'm not sure it's not somthing I think I wouldn't date because off then again I'm no expert onto the challenges someone with it might face and how that would effect a relationship

@boggboss If you're dating with the intent to marry, I can't imagine raising a family with someone who will pass out at random.
Go on a couple dates for fun? sure. But nothing long-term.

At the end of the day it wouldn't be a deal breaker foe me its not like epilepsy is the only reason someone might pass out or have a sezuour if anything at least I might be equipped to deal with it as I know its somthing that could happen

@SugarSugarplum Not all epilepsy works that way. I suggest you look into the different types.

A lot of people like me know a seizure is coming before it happens. I can let my SO know so he can help me. I also have 3 children and think I do as well as any other Mom. Sugar plum feeds into the stigma.

I would say its not complety her fault tho as its pretty much what we are taught as a society on the issue yes we can choose to educate ourselves on it but who tends to go out their way to learn subjects that don't tend to effect their lives
