very grateful.
All of the years in the fire/ems service has taught me that life is all too short and can be over in a heartbeat.
I don't know why but when I am on scene at a fatal injury accident, I mentally look at the scene and go alive alive alive dead.
So, every day I am grateful that I am still here, and woke up.
So how bad can it be?

I'm not resentful about anything. Maybe a bit pissed off and concerned about the direction this country and society has been heading.

I am very grateful for what I have - my wife, my home, income and savings, my health and happiness, and for the wonderful life I have had.

Grateful. I have been dealt a good hand. I have been extremely lucky. And even at times when I was unlucky, still my luck saved me.

I don't know how to explain it properly, but I have been lucky more times than I can count even when bad situations have occurred.
