Age ain't nothing but a number yo! As long as you like her and she likes you back, that's all that really matters. An 18 year gap isn't even that huge these days.

I'd say go for it dude, but play it cool when you ask her out. Maybe just casually mention something like "hey, I always enjoy talking with you. We should grab coffee sometime and continue our convo." Keep it low key so she doesn't think you're like, obsessed with her or anything.

Just be yourself and let her get to know the real you. Show you're genuinely interested in who she is as a person. Girls like when guys are mature enough to appreciate them for more than just looks.

You can try. Most 40 yr. olds women are not interested in 20 somethings unless she's entering her "slut phase". Older women that start feeling their oats will seek out younger men at this phase to prove to themselves that they still got it.
