It sends a bad message if you are with a date. She could justifiably conclude that you are a wolf who is constantly on the prowl, can't control your urges and, therefore, can't be trusted.
Checking out other women instead of focusing all your attention on your date is disrespectful. It looks like you are seeking something better.

When I'm with my wife it's different. She knows that I am 100% loyal that I merely see the female form as a thing of beauty to be admired like flowers, landscapes, sunsets, cute puppies or lovely art.
We've been married for 28 years and she doesn't feel threatened. She actually get it.
