Is it common for people to move in together after 2 months of dating?

I have a transgender friend who recently transitioned from a man to a women. They went on grinder and met another women who has also recently transitioned. I get a bad feeling that this person is very controlling because they kept buying everything for my friend basically love bombing her. Now she's moved in with them into their house and has basically cut everyone off including me. I'm worried as this person she's dating used to be a security guard and I just get a bad feeling from them. Any advice would be very much appreciated as we are all very worried about her wellbeing as she's a very vulnerable person who's had a lot happen to her (childhood abuse and drug problems) which means she's easy to manipulate and control if cohersed. Also anytime I ring her the person she's dating is always in the background of their conversations and has recently been very rude towards me.

Just because something is common, doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. In this situation, them moving in together was not a good idea. You are right to be concerned, as all the signs point to potential abuse. If she’s not being abused now, there is a good chance she is going to be in the future.

In most situations like this, it always goes really bad for the person who moves in. It’s not common at all but it happens more often than we think. I feel like this guy knows about your friends past and is willing to utilize that to his advantage. I wouldn’t ever want my significant other to come to me in a place of weakness, it’s unsettling.

Yes, it is very common. Some do it far sooner than 2 months too.
