I would recommend against it. You know very little about someone in two months. That is the beginning of a relationship. If you both sign a lease, this means you're stuck financially if the relationship goes south, or he leaves.

If you've known someone for six months to a year and still feel comfortable, and you ALSO know about their finances, then maybe this might be a good move.

If you're doing this to save money and because you're in love, these are two poor reasons so soon after dating someone.

Give yourself time to learn more about this person socially, familially, financially and interpersonally before you live together.

Probably not, but I'm the type to fall fast for someone when I realize they're similar to me in a lot of ways, so I wouldn't cross out the chance of it happening entirely.

There are two outcomes:

1. It works out. Congratulations! You have found a partner.

2. It doesn't work out. Congratulations! You have not wasted another 12 months fannying about dating someone that ultimately you are incompatible to live with.

I guess on the other hand they could turn out to be an axe murderer, but axe murderers aren't that common.

It has a lot of factors when it comes to that. 1: it has to be a house. 2: we both must be super ok and knowing we would be able to get along. 3:we would have to have weeks of back and forth, living together by staying over at each other's living situations for 1 week each. 4: we both must have the income to keep up the utilities, food, and everything else.

Nope, I did once spend a week with a guy I was dating. We were dating for I think 3-4 months at that point. My apartment had a mold problem. and he offered for me to stay with him. It was fun lol

Two months is usually too short to truly understand someone’s habits, values, and compatibility for living together. Moving in is a big step, and I’d want a stronger foundation and mutual trust before taking it.
