Yes, but only if we had our own places. I do NOT recommend moving in together and splitting the bills until you are married. It makes it a nightmare if you wind up separating.

I made the mistake of moving out of my condo and into a house with one girlfriend. Our relationship didn't last. She moved out one day while I was at work and took all her stuff including some of my furniture and some money I had set aside for rent. Then I had to find a new place to live.

With my next girlfriend, I wound up living with her in the house she was renting. But I kept the wonderful apartment I was living in where I had all my stuff. I basically kept some clothes and basics at her house. My apartment wasn't far away, so I could stop by there regularly. Sometimes we both spent nights there, too.

Petra and I wound up living together for over a year. I was madly in love with her and she loved me. I was the happiest I had ever been.

For reasons that are too complicated to explain, it turned out that we couldn't be life partners. When we separated, all I had to do was take my clothes and a few personal effects and go back to my apartment.

I was devastated. It is the worst pain I have ever experienced. It took me a year to pull myself together and move on with life. But we remained friends. She contacted me on Facebook 20 years later and we even spoke several times on the phone. Five years later, I read that she had died from a sudden medical problem at age 55. That left a hole in my heart that will never heal. I still love her and will never forget her even though I have been very happily married now for almost 26 years.

Problem is, I have my place. I am not going to let that place go easily. She supposedly has her place.

Even if we move in together we would probably keep our separate places for a while. Maybe indefinitely. That makes the risk much lower than it might appear.

And well, two months can be a very long time. If you spend most of those days together you will already know each other well.

Well, it happens. Might not be the wisest of choices. I'd give it many more months to KNOW the person and their foibles.

Stats say it takes 1 to 3 years for a person to let their hair down in a relationship. Moving in with them before you've determined who they are, what values they champion and live by is risky business.

Most people relax after 6 to 12 months, but there are some masked personalities that keep up the pretense longer and could rope you in to an unhealthy relationship. WHAT IS THE RUSH?

If you're young there IS NONE. Even if you're older, do you want to make a mistake later in life? I don't think so. Take you time and be wise.

If you think about it, what if you put an add in the paper and bring in a total stranger a roommate into your home and you know nothing about that person at least 2 months are better than nothing but I’m not interested in only knowing anyone for just 2 months and having a live in that fast

No I would not move in with a person after 'two months', I'd need to have know someone substantially more than two months - more likely four or more years - even then most likely not.

1st girlfriend, after the first night together, I took her back to her house about 30 miles away and she asked me to stay. she knew how much shit I'd been getting from dad for no reason at all so, she wanted me to get the hell away from that for a while.
GF3 and I started talking records and, after a few weeks of that, we started making out and, after another couple weeks of that, she asked me to move in with her. She ended up cheating on me after 10 years together so I dropped her like a hot brick. A year later, she left him and went back to India. As far as I know, she still lives in Denmark, the last place I had contact with her. She accused me of wanting to fuck her niece so, I cut all ties with her!!
