How did you make your first money?

I probably made my first money back in the mid-1960s by collecting discarded soda bottles and returning them by walking 3/4ths of a mile to the store with the bottles in my red wagon, to then get the deposit money from them.
I'm sure that the neighbors appreciated that cacophony of noise.

Surprisingly, there were enough of them around to do so every so often.
There was more of a litter problem back in those days, which extended to people leaving soda bottles lay wherever they finished drinking them.

It wasn't a very lucrative enterprise, but that's likely where I started.

I haven't had that memory in quite a long time.
It's rather bittersweet for me to think of those long-gone simpler days.

First was i told my parents, that the way parents punish their kids, is to skip paying allowance.

So they started paying so they can take it away. Bam.

My first job was washing dishes for money... but i used a machine. Just prepare n load and unload.

By babysitting and running after beers for my stepdad as a teen.

First real job as a bartender at 18 - first paycheck. And this was a payCHECK, first and only times I've gotten those was at that first job. 🥲
