i was supposed to meet up with a running friend and when we meet up the other day she basically said she would come. but yesterday , the day we were supposed to meet, her texts basically read "meet you there" "i'll probably see you there" to "sorry I think I'll have to skip this one but hopefully next time" she invited me the first time. but i had a soft no recently and now i'm paranoid.

Maybe she really couldn't come. You could ask her again, and if she doesn't come again, then give up

Sounds more like yes she would like to come, but something she had to get taken care of got in the way. Ask her one more time.
