How to forget a man I am physically attracted to?

There's a couple different parts to this. It's something I'm struggling with myself. I was talking to a guy for about a month. I find him incredibly attractive, but he's not good for me in the long term, and also he's not putting in the effort. I accept that he's attractive, but that's all it really is. And ultimately it doesn't mean a whole lot. Take a look around, put yourself in environments where you are exposed to other people you find attractive. You'll soon realize that feeling is nothing special. Just by going to the gym I'm like wow, there are so many attractive people here.

Another thing that helps me get over it is thinking about my long term goals. Finding someone insanely attractive vs finding a life partner is completely different. When I find the person I am meant to be with, it doesn't matter if other people are more attractive. This is bound to happen, even after you get married to someone.

Meh. Think of him like a picture in an art gallery. Nothing wrong with appreciating his looks whilst being self aware that you don't need to associate with him in any way. If you have feelings then that's a different story. For that I'd say remind yourself of the qualities in him that are a turn off.

Maybe you can't right now, but it will ultimately fade into nothingness. Especially when you'll find something or someone more meaningful to contemplate.
