A wish of good luck?

My boyfriend today well now ex is a manager at his job and it was his day off. I went by to grab a bite to eat but he was there walking with another coworker pretty closely and then looked up seen me and I was in such shock. I called him because from where I was i couldn't get to him. He said he was wishing a coworker good luck on a test. How do I need to take it because apparently my action was a over reaction on his part that he seen nothing wrong. Do I need to let him go or what?

That's really sketchy of him. A couple things stick out to me:

- If it was his day off, why was he even at work? Seems shady already.

- Walking really close to a coworker is kinda intimate, even if just as friends. Most people would give each other more space.

- His reaction of getting all defensive when you called him out seems guilty. If it was really innocent he wouldn't care so much.

- Wishing someone "good luck" on a test doesn't require walking that close together where you were both working. Too personal.

I'd be really skeptical of his excuse. Sounds like maybe something is going on between them or at least he's crossing boundaries he shouldn't. As a manager he needs to stay professional, especially with you guys dating.

I know it's hard, but I think you need to end it for your own self respect. You don't deserve to be wondering what else he might be hiding. He broke your trust already in my books. You can do better than some guy who's shady at work behind your back. You'll find someone who respects you and your relationship totally.

That's the best I have heard in the last 48 hours. I spent all day yesterday and last night and today fighting back tears. Thanks and no I'm not really ok because it's taken at least 2 years for me to open up again from a 9 year relationship that ended. Thanks again. I'm trying to be strong. Ice cream actually sounds good about now. Lol

Oh man, I'm so sorry to hear you've been struggling like that! Breakups are always so rough, especially when you've been with someone for a long time. Well I knew about his day off. But him being there at his job on his day off wishing good luck to a coworker is the thing. I asked him the night before this if I could see him that morning but never got a reply. He normally would call me every morning and also didn't so from the time I got up my instincts were telling me something was off. If my son wasn't wanting breakfast that morning I would have never known because I'm sure he would not have just told me he did that. Makes me think of what else he has did behind my back.

If he ignored your text and you found him at work on his day off , then he is clearly not telling you something and being sketchy , so you have every right to feel the way that you do , because he is clearly not telling you something and it shows his true character , that he can easily do things like this behind your back. So if I was you I would walk away as well

Thank you. I'm not going to go back to that. I've decided that I am going to work on me. They always say their true colors will always show. Well the pain that I went through that day And still dealing with is not worth the person I am. I not saying I'm better than anyone but my intention and heart are. His loss my gain I guess if it makes sense

Yea nobody deserves to be treated that way , A relationship should be based off of trust and honesty and respect for each other , not the other way around , when someone truly loves you , they don’t do shit like this whatsoever, you should be their top priority , the same way you make them yours , if not? Then that isn’t a relationship, that is just a convenience. If a girl did that to me , she would become my ex immediately

He was after 15 minutes. He didn't even want to discuss nothing about it. It was like a light switch he turned it off when I said it was over. So clearly I know after me talking to people on here about he never cared. I was the one who always believed in second chances. Never a sorry or I understand how you feel came out of his mouth. But yet I haven't came face to face with him since this past Tuesday. I will have to Wednesday. I know it sounds like me trying to buy him back but this isn't. I bought him some bday gifts that have his NFL team logo. It's not my preference so I don't want them. It was cost almost half to shop back on what I payed for them. He don't deserve it I know that. I just want closure. I'm not going to get all sobby but I want him to know that I'm smiling no matter how bad it hurt.

You are best not to give them those gifts , hold on to them and sell them to someone else , someone that can’t say sorry and apologize for their selfish actions doesn’t deserve anything. So don’t reward him for his selfish behavior. He clearly doesn’t care about you so don’t care about him anymore

Thank you for all the encouragement. I will not give them to him. Your right it would be like rewarding him and he would think he still has me where he wants. I found today he has went back to his old ways and it's not good. So I am glad for all help. And 100% can't even go back.
