I didn't date much. Most of the people where I grew up were stuck-up snobs so there wasn't much selection. I went to high school with a bunch of people that would be universally reviled in most other places of the country.

I dated much more in college and after college.

I didn't date until I was twenty and I'm still dealing with the self-esteem aftereffects of that. And I realize I'm not even the worst one out there, but seeing everyone dating in high school made me feel worthless. So, I couldn't answer this question.

It was difficult because the rules of the game were incomprehensible, like maths class in fact. But then, it also meant love... And heartbreaking. No regrets though. Not for a second :)
