Would you drive 1h and ofc back for a ~2h date?

Checked the distance to late now I am pondering whetever I should go or not (didn't agree yet). What would you do?

Ah man, that's a tough call. On one hand, a 2 hour date could be cool if you really hit it off with this girl. Plus you don't wanna ditch and seem flakey.

But driving 2 hours total each way is a big time commitment. And what if things are awkward or you don't click in person? Then that's 4 hours wasted in the car.

I'd say feel it out more with her - be upfront like "hey just checked and it's further than I thought, are you cool with that drive?". Maybe see if she'll meet halfway to split the distance.

If she's understanding and still seems interested, I'd probably still go for it since you didn't firm plan yet. But you deserve to have fun too on your date!

Make sure to get her number so you can ditch early if needed. And maybe see if you can extend the time together to make the drive worth it. Good luck man, hope it works out!

Ah okay, 1 hour each way is a bit more reasonable then. In that case I'd probably be willing to give it a shot if I was really feeling this girl. A few extra thoughts:

- See if she'll agree to meet halfway so it's only 30 mins each way for both of you. Fair compromise.

- Plan something fun in the area you can do for a couple hours so the drive time doesn't feel wasted if the date isn't great.

- Make sure to get her Snapchat or something first so you at least know she's for real before committing to the drive.

- Be upfront that you're giving up your whole afternoon/evening for this so the pressure's on for a good date!

As long as the communication has been good so far and you get a good vibe from her, I'd say go for it man. 1 hour each way is doable for the right person. And who knows, maybe it turns out to be an awesome date and she's even worth a slightly longer commute going forward. Let me know how it goes if you decide to meet up! Fingers crossed for ya.
