Im pissed. Should I be?

I don't get to spend many weekends with my boyfriend because of kids out of state, he has multiple businesses etc. We've been together 5 years.

This weekend we made plans to go biking or take a small hike Sunday. He had his high school reunion the night before.

I called him and he's trashed. He was dancing and drinking all night. He said no way can he go biking or even take a small hike. So I say am I even going to see you today? He says I don't know baby I have to go into the office my brother is calling me about work. Maybe we'll get dinner or something I'll let you know.

WTF. We planned this for over a month. Like he's ' not sure' if he's seeing me today?

I did see him fri eve we went on a date and yesterday I stopped by and we messed around.

Am I being gaslight? It's feels off but I can't put my finger on why I'm so freaking mad

Sounds like a friends of a friend of mine. He has multiple businesses to. He'll cancel at the last minute with women as well to. Because he can. He knows he can pull any number of women. So they can work around him and his schedule (his whims really). Or they can piss off.

It's been 5 years like that and you stuck around for it then it's on you. People change when and if they want. He's showing you he'll choose himself first always. Keep sticking around then don't complain.

Agreed. He's generous and kind but he's the most selfish man i ever met in regards to his time and effort. It makes me wonder if he even likes me. Like he's just canceled the day with me and said he's going to do some work then he and his brother are going to visit a family friend that has pancreatic cancer.
Sounds like bullshit.
