personally i dont have huge standards for height, like you can be my height it's totally fine. though obviously taller is better (since you're asking why, i guess it's probably because it makes the guy seem more masculine, stronger & more protective. also it's what's expected, usually the guy is taller than the girl). i wouldn't want someone noticeably shorter then me though for a couple reasons. first off he doesn't seem very masculine besides me, he seems more weak, i will feel like a giant thing next to him, dominatrix vibes, people will judge and look, he doesn't feel very protective, it will be hard to be turned on for sex maybe

Mainly just physical attraction. It's like asking why a woman's beauty matters to men. Maybe the reason is evolutionary because taller men usually do look more imposing, we want our children to also be taller etc... we want to feel small and it's easier when we're beside someone larger. Big = masculine, small = feminine. And typically straight people are more attracted to their polar opposites. It tends not to be a dealbreaker though, unless he's shorter than her.

secondly: height for the most part demands more respect in general not to all just in general and for that I prefer to make children that will have at least higher chances in life. (Of course height is not the only thing that drives someone to success, but it does give a big boost!) especially if they’re male.
You’d want good features for your kids.

Height doesn't matter to me, I've said this many times in here. I wouldn't turn anyone down because of height alone. I'm not lying or virtue-signaling, as some people would suggest. That doesn't mean that I would date whoever; they would still have to be attractive to me as a whole. But I think i prefer short to average men because I'm short myself.

I’ve always preferred 5’7-6’3. I’ve made an exception for a 5’6 and 6’4 dude but anything shorter or taller is just too short or too tall. In terms of kissing, the shorter the better because I don’t want to be on my tippy toes the entire time. In terms of sex, its more enjoyable when it feels like I’m climbing a tree and sliding down a pole. 5’9-6’0 made some pretty good trees

I would say it doesn’t but I don't know what it is but there’s just something about taller guys. It’s honestly just what I naturally gravitate towards. I can’t point — out if all the guys I’ve crushed on any — that was shorter than me but it’s not that I’m telling myself they HAVE to be taller, they just are lol 😂 … hope that makes sense

I'm really not sure why I'm attracted to tall men I just mentally can't help it. I think It might be because I'm 5ft and in my head I think a bigger, stronger, man can protect me better and help my future children from being small like myself

I rarely feel attracted to men over 5'9" and it would honestly make me too self conscious about my own height, which is 5'3". Unfortunately most men in my country are taller than that, lol.

It’s okay if he is a little short than me but if he is a lot shorter than me it’s a turn off. I am 5’8. I think I would consider a 5’7” man but under 5’7” would probably be too short for me and a turn off.
