there's a couple of girls I've met, we went out, we had an interest at first, but for some reason or another the timing was not right... or that kind of "click" vibe was a bit different
but we remained friendly as they're still cool AF... so, yeah, there's three of them I can still hang out with, and we usually do that more in groups because we've had friends in common as well
but, if your particular situation... then just ask him about it, what are his intentions with this, lol
did one of you have to do the actual ending of things or did the dates just organically evolve into friendship
and what do you mean cool af? they’re awesome people but don’t meet your looks standards why do you think they’re cool friends and uncool partners?
just asking for a friend lol. I only tend to catch feelings after a friendship. meeting someone for the purpose of dating and scoping out a relationship just feels so contrived and extra
@DreamCrescent with the first girl, we met by chance and based on mutual interests, her looks were outstanding but I don't have "standards" for looks and they're not the priority for me either, I care more for the personality and character, and other traits... all these were great too
but the thing is that, at the moment... the timing was not the best, as she had been out of a relationship in the last two months or so, and for her it was still too soon because such ending of a previous relationship was a bit rocky for her... so she still had some lingering feelings, and as much great it could have been for me and her to try, it... at that moment it would have been complicated, so we decide not to bother with that, we just didn't want to run into some trouble and drama, lol
@NathanDavis so how did you two leave it, then?
okay, valid. she was newly out of a relationship so not the right time to date a new person. but she’s cool, apparently and you still kept in touch.
stayed friends and never revisited? or did the timing never get better because other people came into the picture?
@DreamCrescent as it turned out, and we did speak about it for a couple of days...
the end of their relationship was just a blow out, because they were both stubborn AF, lol... which she did agree to, but didn't want to accept it, and so... I told her, that maybe she should try again and work out things with him (we were way younger, lol) and she actually did try with the ex again... and so they got back together and did great for some years
and on my side... well, there was another girl/friend that I met a bit after, and she did happen to end up being my girlfriend for the college years, and so... there was no need to revisit the idea of dating, because we both went onto our own relationships, but still remained friends to one another
because... we were cool like that
not refuting the coolness factor 😁
i didn’t realize this was a hs age relationship. kk noted
@DreamCrescent we were 20... in college
and I've had similar things happened a couple of times more, being older... but they're somewhat similar experience... and it's the timing that does not happen to work for either, or both
One of my dearest friends is an ex. We hang out most weekends.
If you went out and had fun but no romantic spark, then yeah it makes sense to be friends. And dinner might be innocent, but not sure.
long story short we live in different states. There was definitely a romantic spark. I still have feelings and he knows it
