ShoeOnHead is a woman thinks we are currently in an epidemic where young men want to date older women and calls it hagmaxing, a term that's been made up and is used in the anime community but I think she has no idea what she's talking about.

1. Men have been going after older women for centuries, this is hardly a new trend like she thinks or presents it.

2. She's trying to find reasons why men go after older women, when her answers are right there in her comments and there is lot of research to support it yet she acts dumb. Plus her husband is younger?

3. She is a hypocrite and apparently hates older men dating young women but is fine with women being the older partner for some reason?

On this particular topic, yes there are some men that go for older women in the past, but they are definitely in the minority. The majority of men prefer younger women, just as the majority of women prefer older men.

It's due to the dominant submissive dynamic between men and women. It's the reason women also generally prefer bigger, taller, and stronger guys and the reason why men prefer the opposite.
