Everyone should accept that most people do not start a conversation with someone whose appearance they do not like. Sometimes I ask myself why I have dated ugly men and been cheated on every time.
2.1K opinions shared on Dating topic. I will say something harsh but it’s also a visible truth:
Ugly people are very often ugly on the inside as well.
Appearance is nothing more than the reflection of one’s lifestyle:
If you eat right. Sleep right. Take care of your grooming/styling. Pick an appealing wardrobe.
You will be attractive on the outside and inside since you will be someone with a healthy and hopeful outlook on life
When you indulge in vices and let yourself go you will look horrible and be someone horrible to be around as well
So I try to surround myself with people who seek a positive and healthy outlook on life in every aspect because that’s contagious as well and will make me more likely to stick to the journey.
So when you say ugly people cheated on you it’s not a shocker
Give attractive people a chance
And I do mean truly attractive people not pretentious jerks with symmetrical faces26 Reply- 1 y
@Staximus
They don’t control the genetic features no
But they do control everything else
Lose/gain weight to be optimal with your size = more jaw and chin definition
Trim, fade, shave your hair depending on what works best = you look dashing and youthful
(Same with facial hair
Wear fitting clothes with colors that match your complexion and blend well with eachother = you appear classier, smarter, and of a higher social value
These things matter, and they make all the difference
Short, tall, eye color, skin color these things are a small part of the larger equation
So yes, you DO control your looks
(The only exception is disability which unfortunately requires different considerations, as in you don’t compare a fully abled person with a disabled one and claim one is better looking)

m 1 yboth are important... but in my case, to different degrees
personality and character are a priority in my case but I've never been in a relationship in which the physical attraction was not off the charts, so...
however, the true key for me... is the confidence, the confidence when genuine... will have such an impact of the other two things a perceived, whether is looks or persona... the right kind of confidence makes the person attractive AF... it just amplifies them so much, definitely30 Reply
1 yhis character... his way of thinking... his personality...
I've never paid much attention to appearance... even if he was the most handsome man in the world... but we couldn't connect, talk, laugh... we simply wouldn't be together...
but clean clothes and personal hygiene are very important to me...

@MK1997 sex is in the end, not in the beginning lol
I don't hook up... I need a deep connection to feel comfortable with a man, and I'm not in a hurry :D I would never even consider having sex with someone I didn't trust.
3.6K opinions shared on Dating topic. Both are important but I for sure couldn't date someone I find physically ugly. As for personality I can tolerate a lot of things but not cheating.
And I'm quite shocked ugly people are cheater I thought they would be too happy to date someone attractive and be loyal seem no...

1 yBoth. Appearance gets your foot in the door usually. Everything else keeps you there.
With that being said. Looks are subjective.34 ReplyIf looks are subjective, why do I LOVE buxom blondes as do 90-95% of lads?
- 1 y
Any buxom blonde though?
Loni Aderson in her pre-barracuda days, Pam Anderson before Tommy Lee, Rip-Off Robbie Ritchie (Kid C**k, I mean, Kid ROCK) and the four STDs, Donna Douglas, who played buxom blonde farm babe Elly Mae Clampett on the 60's sitcom "The Beverly Hillbillies" and of course, Maureen McCormick or Marcia Brady. (though Maureen/Marcia was too young to have REALLY big boobs).

Those aren't just any blonde women with big boobs though.
You said any lol
1 yAppearance is more important initially cuz I know y'all are making zero effort to make yourselves emotionally appealing. Why look for something that won't be there. You even said it yourself. y'all intentionally try to be cold and hostile for some weird reason. Sounds like a pointless endeavor to look for character until you really know the girl.
10 Reply1.9K opinions shared on Dating topic. In a relationship both, if I am going to love someone I want to love them inside out. Now merely lust after them because they are attractive neither do I want to get along amazing but be turned off from having sex.
Outside of a relationship I don't care what you look like.
10 ReplyAppearance gets your interest going. Character is what will make a relationship worthwile.
Sorry to hear you've become cold towards men in general. Flirting is what gives some spice to your life.
20 ReplyI would be lying luv if I said it doesn't matter at all but looks somewhat matter as it is the first thing we see in someone, but what makes someone good for me is more of their confidence than their looks. re-state//background_color_rgba (0, 0, 0, 0), font_color_rgb (77, 77, 77), justifyLeft

1 yI’ve never dated an ugly guy. I only started chatting with some and they proved why I shouldn’t have done it. First thing that attracts me is his appearance followed by personality

1 yI might be initially attracted to someone for their appearance but I date them because of their character. And those guys can’t be that ugly if they have two girls (you and someone else) willing to sleep with them at the same time.
00 Reply 8.4K opinions shared on Dating topic. Appearance is important at first but it only gets you so far. If you are lacking in character it will soon show up.

1 yYou pick a person based on the whole package. Some people ignore red flags because of certain traits. Dating can be harsh in that way.
