I hung out with this guy a few times and we even had sex a couple times. Several times he’s told me I’m not his type which is why he wouldn’t date me but also said I was a good woman and liked who I am. He is officially dating a new chick and she doesn’t look much different from me. Same weight, same height, same skin tone. It’s also the same thing with his ex who looks the same. He also followed a couple of women who also didn’t look too different. I didn’t get it.

Hard to say with me not being a mind reader. To me... it sounds like he used you for sex. He may be doing the same thing to these other girls. You said he is dating a "new chick" but how do you know that they are dating and not just hooking up like he did with you? She may be on the same path as you were and he is going to move on from her to the next girl. You mention he follows two other women that are similar to you. Perhaps that is his thing. He targets women (like you) and then sleeps with them and moves onto the next one. Without more context that is my best guess as to what is happening here. It is unfortunate but if it were me I wouldn't give this guy another thought and just move on myself.

If you're having sex, he finds you physically attractive. "Not my type" refers to your personality, that doesn't align well with his.
