Why do I feel like every attractive women I see is out of my league?

I've realized after 31 years that I'm the main reason I've always been single. I don't necessarily think it's my looks, it's that I don't approach/put myself out there out of fear of rejection and thinking I have no chance, or always assuming I'm sure she has plenty of better looking guys to choose from so why would she choose me?

How can I change this... I'm tired of not having a genuine excuse of why I never had a girlfriend

You can change this by not over-analysing the situation, and approaching attractive (whatever that means) women as you would anyone else. Don't focus on their looks; focus instead on the reason why you're having a conversation with her, or, if you can't even make it to the conversation stage, adopt the attitude that you just don't care what the outcome of your interactions with these women may be, because every time you screw up you'll have more information on what not to do in these situations.
