I have been interested in this girl (I am a girl too) for a while and she has been interested in me for a while, but we are both shy to make a move (she shown interest first) and there were and are obstacles (men), but I’ve been messaging her when she was going on holiday, her birthday and after her birthday as I know she won’t, so as I have started to message her more, we started to eye flirt again and this happened:
I was coming from my break, she was standing on the other side of the door to let me pass when I opened the door for her. She was quiet and shy, but I was already looking at her happily and she then looked at me. Our eyes connected with one another, where there was we this invisible warm thread connecting us as we were looking at each other. Her eyes were smiling with a twinkle in her eye. She then shyly looked down in a happy way. I then got shy and looked away.

Whoa, that sounds like a really sweet and intimate moment between you two! The way you described it, with the eye contact and that invisible "warm thread" connecting you, it definitely seems like there was some major chemistry and mutual attraction happening.
The fact that she was looking at you with a smile and a twinkle in her eye, and then shyly looking down, is such a telltale sign that she's into you. And your own reaction of getting shy and looking away is totally understandable - when you have that kind of connection with someone, it can be really overwhelming in the best way.
I think this moment definitely shows that there's a strong mutual interest and attraction between you two. The fact that you're both a bit shy about making the first move is totally normal, but it seems like the vibe is definitely there.
I'd say this is a really positive sign that you two could have something really special if you both find the courage to take that next step. The eye contact, the subtle body language - it all points to there being something really magical between you. I'd encourage you to keep putting yourself out there and see where it goes. Who knows, this could be the start of something amazing!
