My dog, moments of deep substansive love, a good written and crafted song, beauty, a book that excites me, finding someone moved by a historical narrative as I am, valued memories, things that break the bonds of everyday monotony like a good paranormal video or eyewitness account, real gratification, vindication against others and the list could probably go on. I have to add that use of the word "happy", call everyone seems to understand what is meant by the use of the word in the question about breaking it down like I'm doing, it still deserves to be noted.

Because technically what is truly implied by this question is something that rarely actually occurs in actual real life. It's more about the things that make you contented. No shortage of things that are always constant to rain on any parade. Things like death and change, loss of any number of things including relationships and situations often created by change. The kind of change that is unavoidable. The place that you love hanging out at closing down or perhaps they tear down a city block you spent your leisure time hanging out on (this one personally happened to me).

You know when I read that last paragraph back I realize that a lot of people may not experience those same things that are younger than myself (I'm older than 35), as things were much different than when I was 20 or 25. There was no internet then. You were social out of a necessity to be if you wanted to have romantic relationships or have friends.

Everybody has their own personal situations I'm sure that they think of that you would consider an era of your life that you loved, some series of events or situations that create an environment for which you find yourself comfortable and loving of. These time periods in our lives usually don't last longer than one to three years but are precious in the long run. If you can actually recognize that you are in the midst of one of these periods of time that you will look back on and place so much value on, you're that much richer for knowing it in the moment.

Being happy if something fleeting and temporary, only practiced regularly by people who are either mentally disabled or dull witted, though at the risk of sounding arrogant there's really no shortage of these. Nothing against handicapped people, no nothing whatsoever. I think they're some of the richest people in the world. We may mock or feel sorry for someone for example that has down syndrome but these people are probably some of the most fortunate people on the planet. Ignorance truly is bliss and the most intelligent people that live on planet Earth are some of the most heavily burdened. The cruel aspect of life, the reality of nature and its viciousness are more than enough to break someone's faith in god or even if your faith is strong, force a rexamining of this god's nature.

Tbh I struggle with this cuz I dont really know one thing. I guess seeing something I do really come together whether it be art or whatever. Something that is understood well that I do or say. And when a girl genuinely is happy, touched, or down right horny from something I do or say. True connections make me happy.
