What are some simple things that make you happy?

When it is quiet. The sounds of my bikes and truck. The sounds of my family breathing in their sleep. The sound of a tea kettle starting to go off. Combing my hair, or having it combed by someone who loves me. Getting tucked in. Warm showers after a cold ride. Climbing into a clean bed. Finishing cleaning your home and then getting to enjoy it. The mountain air. The ocean air. The smell of autumn. So many more..
Fresh air mmmmmm
1) going into the sunlight (but this is scientifically proven to improve mood
2) certain music
3) playing certain traditional games or other games with loved ones
4) Nature observing and interacting
5) making foreign connections

Big hunks of "caveman meat":

Pretty girls! Cute animals! Competition!
There needs to be a 😲 reaction lol.
Do you eat raw meat?
@LovingLoverReturned Yes, I love raw meat! Raw horse, raw venison, raw beef, raw fish (sashimi, steak tartare, gyusashi, basashi, etc).
@LovingLoverReturned Raw horse is very popular here. We call basashi:
It's very good! I think especially when eating raw meat sliced thickly, it helps if it's very lean meat and very low in fat. The fat tends to be very unpleasant when consumed raw.
I could try sashimi (lol only tried cooked sushi so far)... yes in general I don't even liked thick cooked meat... only thin... so dont the red meets taste like iron (blood) ? Or is that particularly why you like it?
You said sliced thickly... did you mean thinly?
@LovingLoverReturned They actually have an extremely mild flavor, even less of a blood sort of taste than raw tuna, and I actually like them more than raw fish. It doesn't have that sort of iron taste associated with organic meats like cooked liver or heart (although I like those as well). Tastes like a chewy steak or something; if you've ever had a rare or blue rare steak, the middle of that beyond the crust is pretty much what it tastes like.
* [organ] meats, sorry.
@LovingLoverReturned And I mean thickly. If it's sliced very thinly or minced as in the case of tartare, then a bit of fat tends to be less unpleasant. But if thick, the texture is much more pleasant with very little fat as in the case of horse or the leaner parts of beef.
Very Interesting. :)
I love Ahi Poke!
I had my wedding with my wife in Hawaii and that's when I first tried. It's not so popular in Japan but I've since started just making it at home.
Raw meat doesn't have the same sort of happiness appeal to me even though I love it. There's something about a huge slab of roasted meat cooked slowly over a flame that appeals to me on some stereotypically-conceived caveman level. I remember watching cartoons as a boy of people eating cartoon depictions of a giant mutton leg or something:
... and it immediately resonated with me as a boy like, "THAT'S WHAT I WANT TO EAT!"
Fire is awesome 😜
Yes, but I don't really care for it. I never acquired a taste for whale meat although it's somewhat popular in Japan. I can't remember exactly how it tasted since it's been many years and I never wanted to try it again. :-D I just remember it had such a strong taste which I didn't care for so much. I could eat it if I had to do so and I can usually train myself to love foods I didn't like (ex: if they're very healthy). But I don't want to train myself to love whale meat.
It's extremely fatty and oily if I remember correctly.
Oh, actually what I tried is whale blubber and skin like so:

I don't think I've tried the leaner parts of it like so:
... I might like that much better than the blubber!
Do you personally eat it with seasoning or jaw straight meat?
Lol a post about happiness because a detailed discussion of meat.
@LovingLoverReturned In Japan typically with shoyu (soy sauce and a variety of types) and maybe some wasabi or ginger paste. Usually, for things like horse and katsuo (skipjack tuna) it's ginger and shoyu, while beef and bluefin tuna are usually served with wasabi and shoyu.
Ahh okay. The dread Wasabi. Tastes nice but gotta careful.
@LovingLoverReturned Fresh wasabi actually doesn't have that kick to it. It's usually wasabi paste or horseradish made to look like wasabi that delivers the needles to the nose feeling (although I like it)!
Interested... as though fermented or marinated in itself. Yeah it's an experience. Not boring at all.
I'm really starting to hate meat. lol
@UpdateGloomyNights_ When I get the "caveman meat" as my wife calls it, I actually start getting tired of it halfway through. It's getting a bit repetitive and I start craving a salad or something. :-D It's always the best in the beginning for me. Yet I still get excited every time for some reason.

Your dog chasing his ball comment struck a memory with me. GaG has a tendency to do that.
I was throwing a ball for my doberman on a patch of grass near our mall 4-5 years ago. A man crossed the parking lot and was watching us the whole way. I thought he was afraid of my girl. Then he moved to the far end of us, still staring watching straight down the pitch. He the yelled and asked who I had played for. He was trying to place me. lol He was some big shot ball player or scout, I can’t remember who he said he was. But told me it was a waste I wasn’t found. Blew my socks off. Had lots and lots of dog-ball throwing experience. 😂
Dogs and sweets make me happy. Pie, cake, cookies, donuts, empanadas, canolis, pudding, cobbler, ice cream, frozen yogurt, Nutella, the joys in life I must deny myself daily

5. Listen others if they willingly tell me their problem or story.
The possibility of animals understanding Dinosauria. When we got home from school today, I tried talking to a bird. They didn’t reply, but they looked at me for a few seconds with a sort of confused look. They flew onto a tree and looked at me again. I think it would have been better to do something more Dromaosauruian rather Ceratopsian but PFFFFTTTT. Or they just thought I was Tweakin Tweakin
