Question: Should I try and friend him on Facebook? Or any other suggestions?

Backstory: I messaged him via FB Messenger and ended up asking him out. Once he actually responded (took me a second nudge) he said yes. We chatted a little bit on Messenger then had one decent texting conversation. Neither of us initiated any plans and he just stopped responding. Pretty sure I know the answer and don’t know why I am trying to chase someone who must not be interested. This is not like me at all. I just have a really great feeling about this guy, don’t know why but I just do. Am I going to look even more desperate trying to friend him on FB? Is there something else I should try? Or just stop completely?

It is clear to me that dating nowadays is solely through texting and not in real life where people meet on a face to face basis and go from there to the next step.

You will look desperate if, despite the signs you received from him, you follow him on social media.

If he is interested in you, then he will make the next step and you should not make it because it looks as if you have no other options to get his attention.

You state that it is not like you to chase a guy. Sorry to say but you seem desperate. Go out and meet people in real life and not behind a computer or smartphone. Most of those people on social media are fake and you cannot make yourself a good opinion about a person.

I gave him my number and we did text. One decent texting conversation then a bunch of nothing :-(

To clarify, we did text a little bit after that but nothing important. Then it just dropped off after he told me to “text me later to see if I’m awake.” I did actually text him but then never got a response again.
