Why do most tall men like shorter women instead of taller women?

I just find the height difference attractive, and in my experience, the shorter girls are usually more appreciative of my height. They make me feel special, and I enjoy that.

It also tends to trigger our protective instincts. Granted, we feel protective towards any woman, but combined with the shorter girls appreciating my height, it makes me feel needed, in a way.

I really just like that short girls like how tall I am. It's kind of a reciprocal thing.

I assume that they do, but the taller women that I've dated have never really mentioned it. Most likely because, since they are also tall, it's just not as big of a deal for them, beyond just dating a guy they don't tower over.

Shorter girls just make it seem more important. Not that I'm looking to be idolized, or anything, but everyone likes to hear that their partner likes their appearance in some fashion.

It is because there are significantly more of them, so we are way more likely to date one.

I prefer tall women, yet I have dated only one girl that was tall and the rest or short/average. It just happened to work out that way, but I am looking for a solid connection at the end of the day. Someone's height will not define that.

I've met women who are 5ft and also one those who are ft... and while there's an obvious difference, there's no substantial change for me... love is love, and I love both

I can't say for sure, I just find shorter girls hotter.

Since most men prefer shorter girls, and most women prefer taller guys, I suspect there's something biological about it.

That's a little bit shorter than me, so I'm ok with it. Ideally I'd prefer a bit shorter, though.

I think the average height for men is like 5'9 or 5'10 or something, though, so for many men a girl that tall might be a bit much.

It will be a bit more limited, but not greatly so.

Many men are actually open to dating a taller woman as long as her looks are decent. But often they're scared of rejection, since it's a well-known fact that many women prefer taller men. So they don't even try, which makes it harder for a taller woman.

But if the woman is ok with dating shorter men, and has the courage to take first step herself, or at least show interest in guys so clearly that they dare take the first step, then I don't think her dating pool will be significantly limited. :)

However, if a 6'0 woman is only interested in taller men, then yes, her dating pool will be limited.

Even 5'4 girls want 6'2 guys so it's fair for 6'2 guys to want 5'4 women.

As a tall man I can tell you I do not care if a woman is 5' or 7'. But typically the shorter women make more effort to know me. While taller women just stand there and gawk awkwardly. Your insecurity is NOT my problem.

Everyone in my family is tall. My sister is 5'11". So from what I've observed and heard, yes. I know women are vicious to eachother. And short women will make tall women feel non feminine. Which has always amused me that they get away with it because most MODELS are tall. It always surprises me that most tall girls never put that one together. Most of this 💩 is all in a woman's head. Guys in general do not care about a woman's height.
