What do you think about women who are willing to date men shorter than themselves?

It seems like a lot of women aren’t willing to date men shorter than themself so I am just asking what do you think about the women who are willing to.

I think they're probably smarter than most women out there. Height is a stupid reason to exclude a potential life partner, but many women seem to think it's important. That means there is a bunch of guys out there that are above average in the qualities that matter, but aren't taken because they may be below average in height. As long as he's not super insecure and weird about his height I think it's a great strategy for finding a good man.

I'm above average in height but I dated a woman who was a bit taller than me. She was beautiful, smart and cool, and just happened to be a tall woman. A lot of guys were turned off by her height, but it was their loss.

I think if that's what makes her happy then that's what she should do I mean everybody has different tastes everybody has different likes and dislikes and for somebody to be confident in what she wants and go for it I think it's great

I’ve never dated a woman my height or taller, but I would and find tall women more attractive anyway. I think it’s good when women are willing to do it.

Although I’m tall myself and never had this problem before I will still say good for these women!

I know height is such a huge deal to women and they are willing to long beyond that. I do feel for the shorter guys out there on all of this. Being short is virtually 99% genetic (unless you were malnourished as a child). So there is virtually nothing these guys can do about that. At least if overweight people can change their physiques (although it’s very difficult for many of them). But there is nothing you can do about height.

Nothing , other than that they want a genuine connection like anyone else.  In my experience, I would say  most women are willing to , but I am talking about those not at superficial places like clubs or on dating apps  (your average woman) .

I think they're less shallow and more focussed on personal compatibility.

Even so, I don't judge women who want men taller than themselves. I do judge women a bit who just want men who are 6'+ as it's unrealistic and it's a bit of a silly requirement when so many other things matter more in a relationship. I'd they're just looking for a one night stand I judge less.

For example, I'd never filter women based on want their body looks like for a relationship although obviously I have eyes and enjoy the way some women look over others. For something short term though, I'm probably focussing on shallower things more.

I was about to say they are brave, but I don't think they are, in truth, since bravery, in that case, morality has nothing to do with tastes, it should have nothing to do with preferences, in my opinion. So what do I think? Nothing then, nothing at all.  They do what they want, as it should be?

Who cares? If women like a particular guy, just let them date that particular kind of guy.

As long as she likes him for more than just his height (character, personality, hobbies, demeanor, etc.) then what does it matter? Let him be happy and let her be happy, she will find no judgement from me.

i doubt that will ever be my issue because for some stupid reason my dad is 188cm, my mom is 179, my brother is 189, and im... freaking TINY!!! i dont think i ever saw any guy who was even close to being as short as me, so i think this problem goes around me

I don't know because I have never dated a woman taller than me. I am not attracted to them. But my off the cuff thinking on your question is that it's fine with me. If a shorter man wants to date the taller woman, and the taller woman wants to date the shorter man, why not?

Look, if they’re happy with each other, that’s all that matters. My ex boyfriend was a few inches shorter than me but we had no problems. I’m 5’9. Our heights wasn’t the reason we broke up.

I don’t think anything about it. I see a lot of couples in my tourist town where the guy is shorter than his gal. I see all sorts of couples that the GAG would find as unconventional.
