Like for example my boyfriend only wants to get me stuff for Valentine’s Day he doesn’t wanna get anything thing for Valentine’s Day he feels that’s it’s to make me feel special

Only the girlfriend gives gift to him/ her

Only the boyfriend should get gifts for her/ him

Both partners should get each other gifts

A relationship should be equal effort even if some people are looking for something different if someone’s more traditional there is a give and take (if it’s done right) where both people put equal effort in separate roles.
