1 yI honestly don't have a clue on that anymore. with a girl I showed signs of interest early on in her, we had lots in comon I made her laugh easily I'm from what I know basically all a woman would want with just one flaw, I'm short. I'm charming and she said I look good but she still ended things when I proposed if we wanted to go to the next base. We knew each other for 4 months and I always tried to push things slightly but never too far to make her feel that I would be desperate or that I just wanted to sleep with her and bolt away. Perhaps I wasted too much time or I pushed too hard and scared her away, who knows.
All I know is that I won't waste my time trying to get a girl anymore and just try to be as successful as I can be and single.00 Reply

1 ygonna be honest rejection and breakup are the biggest character tells as they show how a person can handle being told no on a very large scale however i dont really reccomend breaking up or rejecting someone over that alone that being said if you do reject someone how they respond and what they do after is very telling so while it probs won't help with relationships past being freinds it does demo good character if they handle it well

Don't put words in my mouth. I never said it was being unreasonable. Cut that out right now.
If it was about women finding a partner and investing in her as much as she does, then say that. You came out of the gate saying "What actions must a man demonstrate he's worthy of being more than a casual interest?"
In this case you are already seeing men as not only lesser, but practically subservient out the gate because this is now saying women are looking at this from a power perspective, not one of mutual attraction or respect.
You say men need to prove themselves to women here, but women need to do the same for men.
When you start looking at it from the perspective of demands that he is even worth the time, it turns into a checkbox and list of things she wants or will ask of him, and all the while if he complies with everything or follows through to meet those demands, bet money she will not only be turned off by him, she will not be able to truly respect or love him because he did everything she asked and did not stand up for himself.
You are having women say to men "Jump" and expect men to say without hesitation "How high, ma'am?" And that is the issue. It is from a point of power.
I have seen you respond to numerous questions similar to this from other users and that a man must do the courting and I agree, but the issue is that when women have a list of insane standards that they need to have met, it is counterintuitive at the end of the day, because if a man doesn't check one box, she isn't going to give him the time of day. On top of that, she more than likely isn't reciprocating a fair return if she expects him to cater to her standards, why would she respect his? - 1 y
I never suggested men are lesser or subservient, that’s your interpretation. What I am emphasizing here is that when a man’s interest is high, he’ll be eager to show he’s serious, just as women should be excited to reciprocate when they’re genuinely interested.
Consider their options available, it’s smart for women to discern who’s worth their time. This doesn’t mean women have to have insane standards. It means they have standards, period. And yes, those standards should be realistic and aligned with what they offer in return.
Men should of course stand up for themselves when necessary, but let’s not confuse standing up for oneself with refusing to make an effort. - 1 y
The question is how much effort is truly seen as effort at the end of the day for women. How much does a man need to show before she says, "Okay, maybe you are worthy of my time?" That is the problem. I am not insinuating that women shouldn't vet and discern who is a good fit out of the options they have, I am saying it becomes an issue when the man pretty much comes close to doing everything that should in theory be what women want, and no, I am not talking the bare minimum. I am saying all the things like properly courting her. Asking her out, showing up, being accountable, leading the interaction, being the best in his craft, having a large social circle, having his own house, car, good health physically and mentally, healthy self esteem, all of that.
Even if a man has ALL of that, a woman can just as easily toss him aside like a used toy the second he doesn't align with her standards and what did she give him in return? A chance. A simple chance, meanwhile the guy who could have been a solid dude is sitting there wondering what he did wrong. Guy has to go all out, she gets to sit back and watch.
What should women truly be doing in return for a man during this process, because you don't mention it here. - 1 y
The effort should be substantial but reasonable, and should align with what both are looking for and can reciprocate.
Men need to develop a sharp sense of discernment to pursue a woman who is genuinely interested in a balanced relationship. If a man finds himself consistently going all out with little in return, it might be a sign to reevaluate the compatibility and intentions of the one he’s pursuing.
In terms of what women should do in return during the dating process, it’s about showing genuine interest and engagement. When a man invests his time and energy, a woman who values this will reciprocate with her own time, respect, and enthusiasm.
Also, understanding that not every dating effort will lead to a long term relationship is important. It doesn’t necessarily reflect a failing on anyone’s part. Sometimes it’s just a mismatch. The key for men and women alike is to continue developing and valuing their worth while also being willing to give genuinely and freely without an immediate guarantee of return.

u 1 yI never had to put on a show and demonstrate for nobody...
if you're interested, and I'm interested... then let's talk about it and we'll see how it goes
period09 Reply- 1 y
perhaps... that's how it is for the people who put themselves on the online dating market
that's where people actually have "so many options" to swipe left and right based on impressions and then they are like "okay... I liked your profile now you have to demonstrate if you are worth my time and try or if I swipe to the next "
and then, maybe yes... all those online confident men are more than willing the demonstrate to the online deal they signed up for
I however, live in a different world... and in my world, I am not an option of many, no... in my experience people approach me with an interest after they KNOW I am worth the time and more than their time too
