45, m, on disability. Neck problems but in good shape otherwise. Can't contribute much financially but kind & loving. would u date someone like that?

Personally I can’t date a guy who doesn’t work.. due to past experiences with an ex. He didn’t work and he scrounged money off me. But it wouldn’t matter to me what job he has, whether he’s some top lawyer or a cleaner, as long as he’s working and earning money. His own money and not coming for mine.
Don’t be ashamed of your situation, someone somewhere will want to date you regardless of that. Never give up hope. Even when you say you’re kind and loving.. everyone should be loved and cared for. Hope you find what you’re looking for.

Yeah, I understand what you're saying. I do live alone and get by on my own though. I'm not the type to ask for anything unless I absolutely need it, and that's only been a couple of times. I had a friend of mine who got a pretty substantial sum from a settlement and offered to give me some of it. I thanked them but turned it down.

Honestly, I haven't asked a girl out for years until a couple of days ago. Haven't heard anything though. I grew up believing men are supposed to be provides and women wanted men who were bringing home the bacon. One of my relatives who has a very well-paying job started dating a guy on disability. It started making me wonder if maybe it's not the deal-breaker I thought it was. So yeah... I'm trying to see things differently. Anyway, thanks for you words of encouragement. I can tell you from experience I got the most interest from women when I was a broke college student who had nothing to offer except a warm embrace.

Now working and making money I have so little time to date that ultimately I get a lot less women

Thank you for you opinion. It's just, as a man, I was raised to be a provider. I tried to go back to work, but my neck was so bad that it was causing headaches that resulted in vomiting. I tired. But I've felt so much shame over not being able to work and provide. As a man it really messes with you sense of self-worth. So I really appreciate you saying that.
