Dating app users, does anyone notice that apps like Bumble doesn’t put your type in the stack so that you pay money?

I noticed this mostly because, my typical type of man based on appearance are often Black, Hispanic, or South Asian. Of course I find men of the other ethnic groups attractive and worthy of dating.

So while swiping, I’m noticing I’m only being shown White men, but on the page of recommended matches (that I have to pay to swipe on), it showed me Black and Indian men.

I don’t know if this is a racial issue or them just trying to make money from me

Dating sites look at profit as does any other successful company in the world. They are hoping you don't find a match a pay in all over again.

The site is most likely disproportionately white men.

I mean as a guy you get mostly FAT women on dating websites. Why? Because most women on dating apps are FAT. If they weren't they probably wouldn't be on a dating site.

Sorry, I said MOST. If it doesn't apply to you it doesn't apply to you. But it does apply to most. Women on dating apps are Notorious for posting pics from 10 to 20 years ago and about a 100 lbs. ago. Don't feel attacked. I'm just trying to tell you most men on dating sites are white. And most women hide who they really are hoping the guy will meet and by that point be enamored with her personality.

Yeah that makes sense! I feel the same about men and their pictures especially in my age group. I don’t wanna see pics from when you were 18 lol, you’re 27! I wouldn’t dare do that because I’ve looked even better with age. So yeah I have no issue with seeing white men, I just like variety and I guess that’s who are mostly on the app. I just hate that it feels like bumble purposely dangles carrots by showing me my type and putting it behind a paywall
