I didn’t fall in love at first sight
But i was in a swimming pool when she walked in and when I saw her I forgot to swim for a minute and drowned only to snap out of it of course and introduce myself


Never ended up dating


She had a boyfriend at the time who was as toxic as it gets and we became friends


After she dumped him a couple of years later I thought it was now or never


And boom: she comes out as gay


Had a few flings with girls and now has been seeing this one girl for like 3 years


Met her 10 years ago now
I moved on years ago but we did remain friends
I also play video games pretty regularly with her girlfriend who’s ironically very similar to me: same taste in music, games, movies, girls (clearly)
So yeah the idea of what might have been does cross my mind.
But how do you fight nature?
