Should I just wait it out and see if he calls or text me?

We have been dating for 1 1/2 months now. This is the first time he missed a call from me and never called back or even said sorry I was busy and I couldn't answer that call. So nothing last night and I woke up this morning with nothing as well. Now I'm worried that something might be wrong or he isn't as interested anymore. I want to message him but I'm afraid I will come off as overly persistent and push him further away.

Sorry I forgot to update but he did message me back apologizing for making me worried and that he was with his cousin.

You should wait it out for a while. That's not long enough to mean anything at all. If he hasn't gotten ahold of you when you read this (your question is 2 days old) then reach out and see how he seems. I would imagine... this has solved itself by itself by the time you read this. If not. Time to reach out.

Maybe something has happened to him. I heard a story that a girl thought she was being ghosted by a guy who's ended up in hospital because he'd been in a crash on the way from their last date and that she was pissed at him until someone who knew them both found out and let her in on the news.
