Alternative words for boyfriend?

My partner and I have been dating for several months now. When asked what he is the word "boyfriend" doesn't feel right and "Partner" seems to something... "My person" seems too serious atm. Never been too fond of "my man" and "my dude" feels off. He calls me his "woman" or more recently his "honey" which seems goofy too.

Maybe I'm just being weird, but I'm seeking some alternatives for the terms boyfriend/girlfriend/partner.

I think any alternatives to the usual are bound to end up being stupid.

"my person" makes me actually physically cringe. Nobody should ever say that (thankfully nobody I know has yet).

I think your options are, to reconcile yourself to something usual like "my man" even "my guy"

"my dude" is terrible for a girlfriend. Just terrible. It's like an anti-aphrodisiac... that shit turns me right off (eventhough I'm not turned on)

I think you have exactly one, single non-ridiculous option if boyfriend doesn't fit the relationship (if it does, you should just call him that)

The only option I can see is the simple, vague, yet classy: "my friend"

Leaving the world to get the implication. Which people do.
