Guys, Do you think it's weird if a girl has no friends?

Please be totally honest. I had a friend from college but she sucks at keeping in contact and I'm starting to give up, I don't hear from her for months sometimes. I'm trying to rebuild a friendship with an old friend but we are quite different. I have a female friend who is about twenty years older than me, I know it's strange but she's the only true friend I have. And a close friend I cut contact with because she betrayed me and there were other issues in that friendship. So I realised I'm pretty much a complete loner at this stage in my life. Would you find this strange if you dated a girl like that? I'm quite insecure about it

I wouldn't think its weird. As an adult it is really hard to make new friends outside of wherever you work.

If I were into a girl, I wouldn't be put-off by her not having friends. To me that doesn't reflect on what kind of person a girl is. I don't think it reflects on what kind of friend the girl would be to somebody (I wouldn't think it meant your friends had dropped you for treating them badly).

My reaction would be first, to feel badly that you didn't have anyone in your life to talk to, support you, encourage you and all the stuff any good friend should do for you.

I would then realize, that I myself used to have a great many close friends at any point in my earlier life. I'm definitely at fault for not being in touch like I should have. I could call one of a dozen people who were very close friends when I was 23. They'd for sure help me if I reached out and asked for it. But I wouldn't. They were close friends, but that isn't really the case anymore. They're doing their own thing, and so am I.

I don't have as many close friendships as an adult either. I understand how it is. I don't think it means anything aside from not liking anyone from work well enough to want to hang out with them outside of work. That I can relate to.

I don't think you need to be concerned with a guy thinking less of you, or making unflattering assumptions because of this. (and one good friend is worth dozens of ok friends. It should be a quality over quantity thing anyway)

People come into our life's for a reason a season or a life time.. you can't make and one love you or like you..

And if they can't do it on there own then it's not real anyways

To a degree. I'd wonder if it's because of her behavior towards relationships that caused it, but that'll be figured out while dating her. It's not uncommon for people to grow apart, especially school friends. The only thing that connected you to begin with is an environment where you spent time together, not necessarily for a common purpose. As you get older and out of the school mentality (hopefully), you should be meeting people by doing things that you actually enjoy doing. That is a better method of forming deeper connections based on something actually in common.

I've seen moments in life where I "lost" everyone and created new friendships. And age range doesn't matter at all in friendship, I have a friend 20 years older than me, one 15 years younger, nothing weird with that. I have no idea if this is common, but it cannot be weird because it doesn't harm anyone.

I've been with at least one girl who didn't have any friends, in the truest sense of the word, she had just buddies here and there. From my perspective, it was not so much a problem BUT it has consequences I considered, because friendship is a vital aspect of life, without friends, then the only support a girl have would be her family. And if family fails to support... Then I become the only beacon for her. A position I don't really want because it's too much responsibility for one person, in case of troubles :)

Not weird at all, it's more common than lots of people admit and it's nothing to feel ashamed off. Often means we have specific interests and live inside ourselves.

Yes that describes me well. And to be honest I don't think it'll change so hopefully I can find someone who doesn't mind that.

A lot of couples live only for themselves and the love they bring each other by being together. No rule that says you need to have friends. A deep connection can be really completing and all a person needs 🙂

I think I'm just shy but maybe I'm off putting and am not aware of it. Mostly I haven't been interested enough to cultivate friendships at this point in my life :/

I would assume she doesn't meet people very often, as having (many) friends is just a matter of going under the sunshine from time to time.

Not really actually, anymore. I wrote it in the q above, just one who's much older than me, and one that doesn't stay in contact at all anymore sadly. I kind of got tired of clinging to that friendship. And I'm trying to be back friends with an old friend we met up recently but it's just hard tbh.
