No, normal is your prerences staying the same. If they changed its becuase your genes changed. Usually by contracting a virus that edits gene expression.

  Objectively though, any virus that edits sexual preferences would be detrimental to the species that contracted it, so "good?" I don't think so, I'd say its bad.
