What do you wear on a first date?

An older guy recently asked me out on a first date. What do I wear?

I wore a cute floral spring dress for my first date. It was kind of dressy for the occasion but it's always better to dress to the nines than to barely put any effort into what you're wearing on a date.

If it's a dinner date definitely wear a cute dress. Even if it's not, you can't go wrong with a nice cute dress especially now that it's spring.

Honestly don't try too hard. Wear what makes you feel comfortable. If it were me I'd personally wear my favourite pair of jeans, favourite sneakers and a shirt. Hair down, minimum make up and a parfum.

That's great! Go for it. The way I see dating is doing something that you can really keep up long term. So if you try too hard or try and be too fancy it's going to take a lot of work. My best advice to you is to go for a look that looks effortless meaning that it takes minimum effort but makes you look gorgeous!

Not that it matters.
Wear whatever seems appropriate for the weather and the setting
Don’t overdo it there’s not need


Guys mostly don’t even notice the finer details of an outfit

Where are you going, to the drag strip, short track racing, tractor pulls?
Heel and jeans may look absolutely killer, but not practical at all, dinner and a movie, depends on the restaurant, going to see a show/musical obviously not a formal, but something that looks nice and is comfortable to wear.
See if he will let you know where you are going, if not probably the middle of the road, not too casual, not too formal.
