The concept of the app is to go out to dinner and possibly a bar with a group of 5 people all anonymously including yourself. They pick the restaurants and who goes to dinner together based on your location and your interests. The dinners happen on Wednesday nights only and there is a $16 one time fee

I have also tested similar apps in the past


They have one major problem: they are an absolute dork magnet


I once went to a club with a few strangers met like that and one of them was a short dude with hair everywhere except his head wearing a striped polo shirt like it’s the early 80’s
Another was wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses indoors and put water too much energy in his lame dance moves
Another was built like Dr Doofinshmirtz and constantly wanted to talk to women
(Literally saw fear in their eyes)


The last guy was a normal dude, well dressed, groomed etc… and he sent the night trying to tell me without telling me that he and I were actually normal good looking guys in a club but by association we’re just part of the freak show


All this to say: people with no friends or social lives gravitate to these stranger meeting platforms and it makes the experience very hit or miss

Nah, 5 is too many people, I rarely eat out, and I'm not paying to meet new friends.

I go through friends like I go through paper towel, $16 would turn into $16,000 real quick just because its really hard to find good relatable friends worth keeping

I would think its $16 per group of people, it would only be once if you click with the first group or someone in that group.

The odds of that happening for me are extremely small.

Never heard of it. It sounds look a good start though. Better than being behind a screen. I prefer to just go places on my own and scope out areas and meet people organically. Depends on your personality.

No I've thought about it, just to meet some new people and do something random and possibly fun. Maybe one day! So far people on social media seems to like it and it seems to be growing

I haven't heard of that, but I have heard of other similar apps, websites, and group pages. Even Facebook has some.

It's not something I would be likely to do myself to be honest. I think it's a cool concept though. I think it's a great idea if it's something that appeals. It just doesn't to me.
