I've seen documentaries about happiness claiming that people in poorer sotuations/countries can be happier. I think there is a difference between being "poor" in the sense of not much money and "poor" and under stress. So for instance I don't believe you need material things to be happy. And in fact material things onlyslr you happy for a little while. I think I could be very happy if I has a very simple life with a nice bit of scenic land, a house and my food comforts, Internet and music. What makes life unhappy is the demand for tax and rent and bills that stress you out just to have basic things you need for survival. And the rat race forcing us to thinking we are not good enough as we are.
So yes you can be happy poor. But not happy stressed.
Some of my happiest days was when I was poor.
Of course. Money does not always buy happiness
