I think it's becoming more and more common as our society realizes that rushing into relationships isn't necessary anymore.

500 years ago relationships were political and logistical. If you weren't assigned a partner then you married the first person willing to have kids with you to join your houses and double your resources.

100-200 years ago marriage was essential because women weren't allowed to work, own property, or vote. So it again became logistical. Add to that heavy societal and religious forces pushing against divorce, and you had more logistical marriages that, legally, were permanent.

Now people are realizing that the classic picture of a man, a wife, and 2.5 kids is just a remnant of a society that needed that setup in order to function. So as a result, people stopped rushing into relationships. Add in all of the gender and sexual identity breakthroughs we've had in the last 20-30 years, and it makes sense that we're no longer looking at "standard" progression anymore.

Live your life how you want. Don't worry about how other people expect you to live it.

Nah, that is totally normal and only indicative that you don't let yourself be drawn into something that is unimportant at this stage of life.

If your profile name is a reference to your studies, then I highly recommend you wait till you have your degree in your pocket. It will be early enough at age 26-27 to get into trouble with women (or perhaps men - we don't know) but I strongly suggest you concentrate on your education and don't let your attention divert to dating or being in a relationship.

Enjoy your single life while you can. You will regret it long enough once you lose it.

I didn’t have my firsts until I was 22
And just five years later I have more dating experience than most of my friends who got in a relationship at 16 and stayed together


One of them just broke up and he has no clue what to do now.
I, who supposedly bloomed late compared to him: is now his reference point as to how adulthood dating works

I had my first kiss at 12 , but have known both sexes to not have any experience whatsoever into their 20’s and beyond. I wouldn’t place any significance upon it if I were you Life is about so much more.
