I’m in my mid 20s, still live at home (rent is too high to move out, should have moved out years ago), single, autistic…we’ll have aspergers, work a full time job and don’t drive but I do take the bus. See any red flags that a man won’t want me?
I’m being pressured to drive. It’s not like I don’t take myself places. I get myself around because I HATE depending on others. I don’t ask for rides, I just go. I do work full time. I am sick of being underestimated by people because they didn’t think I’m capable of doing things on my own because I’m “special needs” I hate that term.

I'm sorry you "caught this side of the generation" where young people (including myself/even i'm not young anymore) cannot afford their own place. Is nothing wrong with taking the bus, going places by your self, specially that you work, sounds like you can manage just fine, just hang in there..."if the train left the station, never chase it" Always Comes Another One!. I have been through 2 marriages, built a bit of wealth for both women (and children), now i'm single and a "dad bod", for 5 years now, but that doesn't stop me to Push Forward... You know the saying: "life's a bitch, you marry one and then you die", well that means just make the best of it! Enjoy your singularity while you can, as when "someone will come along" sometimes you'll need to work for 2 instead of just for you, so just... Enjoy!

Look I know little about autism/aspergers. Being straight up honest with you, I have the impression autistic people have difficulties forrning social relationships.

So that would be a red flag mostly because I don't know better. I might be well mistaken.

I think you might need to demonstrate social skills to overcome initial prejudice that I and over guys might have.

A lot of guys I’ve dated either dumped me or canceled on dates because I’m autistic. One guy said to be bluntly that they have traits of a woman he’s looking for but the only thing that throws him off is me having aspergers/being autistic because autistic people like you said aren’t the best at social interactions so that’s a HUGE red glad for him. He said he can’t see himself in a relationship or married to an autistic woman even if she’s a hardworking woman and he doesn’t want special needs kids. He cancelled the date on me. This was six months ago. I don’t think I’ll EVER find the right man. I do have good social skills. I greet people, talk to them just like anybody else. I guess I forgot to mention that. My mom told me maybe I oughta consider dating an autistic man since he would understand me more and relate to him. She said most non autistic men won’t understand at all. I don’t want to date only autistic men.

Well there are other reasons for men not wanting to marry now. It might be better to wait till a guy has got to know you a while. Like I don't know much about autism/aspergers but I could be scared off by that label.

What aspects about you might scare me off after I started going out with you? If that label wasn't sticking out?

When you have any kind of issue, it's quite easy to attribute all your problems to it.

Remove it, and you will see that having problems is just life itself.
