What would you say to a person who gave up on love?

I guess my brother did. Last time he got hurt pretty bad and since then he had no love interest, no date, nothing. He does not try anymore. Even his friends told him that he is the most unlikely to find anyone of them all.

I think you should focus on helping him heal. Work on insecurities, boundary setting, etc. Get him to the point that he feels confident he won't be hurt again in the same way (or at least will have the emotional tools to deal with it), then he'll decide if finding a partner is the right thing for him moving forward.

He'll be happier in the long run. Love & relationships aren't worth it. He'll have less stress, more peace, and more money staying single.
