Why do women become obsessed with the woman that their man cheated with?

I had a fling with a man for about a month until I discovered that he was already involved with someone. I immediately blocked him and hadn’t spoken to him since. Now, three months later, his girlfriend keeps calling me asking me a million questions and keeps checking my social media.

I was nothing to him. Meanwhile she has met his family, he spoils her and takes her on trips, she met his friends and family, and has established something real with her. I was nothing but a dirty little secret. I got nothing from this situation but trauma and a trip to the clinic.

He obviously values her, so why is she so obsessed with me?

Hi, that's a really messed up situation. I can totally understand why you're frustrated. It's crazy that his girlfriend is still harassing you about it, even though you were just the side chick and she's the one he's actually with.

I think a lot of times, women can get super obsessed and insecure when their man cheats, even if the other woman wasn't really anything special. It's not about you, it's about her own insecurities and the fact that her man broke her trust.

She's probably feeling really hurt and betrayed, and is lashing out at you as a way to try and regain some control or make sense of what happened. Even though logically, she should be more upset with him, it's easier for her to blame you.

It sucks, but try not to take it personally. You didn't do anything wrong - you were just caught up in his mess. The real issue is between him and his girlfriend. My advice would be to just block her and move on. You don't owe her anything, and continuing to engage is only gonna prolong the drama.

Focus on healing from your own trauma, and don't let her obsession drag you down too. You deserve so much better than that sketchy situation. Hang in there, sis. Karma will come back around for that dude, I'm sure of it.

Wanting to know what you have that she didn't, hence he cheated on her with you. So there was a reason he cheated.. whether you were important to him or not.. she wants to know that reason and because she doesn't know what it is, its probably eating away at her. Really she needs therapy and probably to dump the dude but she rather come after you, who she sees as a threat.
