I don't know personal preference? Some people buy into the notion that a man should be a provider, and by that logic a rich man is a good provider and therefore a good partner. Not good logic in my opinion, but different strokes for different folks and culture can be weird.

But also, lots of women don't care too much so long as their partner is financially stable. That's more where I'm at. Long as I don't have to financially support him or his lifestyle then we're all good since I don't expect anyone to fund my lifestyle either.

They’re too lazy to accumulate wealth themselves and any money they do have they blow it. They simply want someone for the money and chances are someone after money will cheat because they have no genuine connection with you.

Not to mention the fact if you loose your money or they just find someone with more later down the road someone after money sooner or later will leave you. Because they never really wanted you but just what you had. How you made them feel. As well as resources…. Narcissists at best.

Not all women are after money and men who have money need to be extremely careful. You don’t need to date or marry only women with money. But make sure she’s after the right thing and financially responsible. You want a asset not a liability

Keeping up our appearance costs more than the price of a meal. Making her man’s favorite steak dinner isn’t cheap either. Working to help with the bills  while  maintaining a beautiful home, and a beautiful family is what makes women worn out and homely looking.

I think women and girls chase a “dream” when they are little girls and see women competing with each other. They watch the movies of the princess and the princess has everyone and she thinks omg how romantic! In the modern day, they’ll be like eww on 90-95% of guys on apps and in life around guys. I think it’s also because of women having less job opportunities in male dominated fields where she chooses a rich guy for stability. Women know they can divorce a guy and get a % because courts tend to favour women more than men. It’s not that I agree with this, I think the more attractive a woman or girl Is, the more she’s going to have this mindset and not care because she uses it to her advantage.

I’m not saying guys/men are innocent either, but the difference is guys have to work their up with rejections, the failures, the heartbreaks but once he finally does build himself up, guys have to be extremely careful not to destroy it. A guy should think of his life as his Kingdom and he has to protect it. See far too many guys deal with stupid women only for the female to ruin his life. I don’t care what any delusional feminist on here says and gets triggered by my comment, if world war 3 starts, that feminist tune changes real fast to “I’m a stay at home wife who wants kids and cook and clean” double standard bullshit hypocrisy at its finest.

It's called being smart. I don't get when beautiful girls date total losers who don't treat them like queens. When a man truly loves you he will do whatever it takes to bring home the money that's what good men do.

I'm not referring to the mega rich but if your a beautiful woman you have to take advantage of that whilst your still young and pretty. I want a good life and to know myself and my future children will be looked after. To enhance life. To take expensive trips. To be able to afford the best things in the world. And I don't mean diamonds and all — although those are nice too — even healthcare, if you don't have money private hospitals won't take you. Nature. Men were designed by nature both physically and mentally to provide and protect. So these are the traits that women are naturally attracted to. The better the provider, the better the protector, the more their natural attraction to them.

It comes from the procreation instinct which is the most important instinct of any species including humans since without it the species can't survive. Men are designed to be the providers and protectors for the family unit which is the basic building block of the human race.

So naturally a man with a large amount of wealth tends to be attractive to more women than a man who is poor since he has greater means to both provide for and protect.

It's pretty simple really. Nature and evolution.

A primitive mindset wants a large masculine guy so she feels protected. We all know that. Some now though also see as part of that the guy who can protect her in other ways through money.

She won’t have to live is da hood so she needs a big guy a lot less. Her kids will be protected through living in a well off neighborhood where crime is low. She will have good medical coverage, good food, good cars, good schools for the kids, fun money for vacations and more, good DNA for her kids, she won’t have to work so she will have time for herself and raising her kids… the reasons are numerous.

But does that guy need her? What does she bring to the table? Can she keep him? How can she discern between the real rich guys vs the liars and the fakes? If she does get him and marries, can she keep him longterm as the competition for him will continue?

Why do guys want to be rich? Same reason. So far this country has been 0 for 2 with women presidents. Conversely all have been men. Women cannot gain power in a patriarchal world. But in the modern sense, money IS power. It's the next best thing for a woman.

It's interesting I was reading the exchange on this question by @DangerouslyCute and @Anon1903. And neither one is addressing the elephant in the room. Dangerous is over 30 years older than Anon. I'm not saying it's over for her (or women her age). But I am saying Dangerous is old enough now to know she doesn't have enough youth to command a guy with millions. She has to exercise a different set of muscles, if you will. Young women know their youth is currency and a lot of them are going to cash in on it while they have it.

My Partner is not rich, I could've gone for a way wealthier guy, I chose him because he's a great serious Man, the fact that he has a stable and well paid job surely helps but he's not a millionaire and I'm okay with that.
