Are people giving up on dating and getting married?

I have seen this so much on social media but I feel like society is just no longer wanting to have a traditional marriage where people dont cheat on each other. But its sad to see so many people throw away a good thing for 30 mins of sexual pleasure.

Modern women have ruined marriage, and men don't want anything to do with it/them anymore.

Between the lack of accountability, ridiculous standards, and selfish attitudes, the majority of women aren't even worth dating. Women have spent years saying they're independant, don't need a man, and they'd choose the bear. Well, men listened, so we're leaving you alone.

Women will literally go on dates, admit up front that they're only in it for the money, film the entire interaction on their phones, and then have the gall to get offended when the guy doesn't want anything to do with her. Then she'll post it online, and get 500k likes from other women, criticizing the man, instead of calling out the woman's horrible behavior.

Speaking of social media, there is also this ridiculous trend of women posting how they're leaving their husbands, even though he's a great guy, but she's just bored. All the comments are from women supporting them, although none can articulate why she should leave a good man.

Where is the incentive for men to marry, when faced with that nonsense? If you can be a great guy, and she's still going to leave, not to mention clobber you in divorce court, how do you think that looks to us? These women aren't worth marrying, in the first place, AND we're going to get screwed when she gets bored. Yeah, no thank you.

Men are just adapting to the times, but women are so busy blaming men for everything, because they were raised by 3rd wave feminists, that they don't even realize they're the very reason men don't want anything to do with them. That just brings us full circle, back to "no accountability."

I have no doubt I'll get criticized for this post, but that's part of the problem. Men keep telling women why we're not marrying them, anymore, and instead of taking it to heart, they just continue to blame us.

If women want to start getting married again, they need to fix themselves, first.

You do realize most of that is rage bait content right? There are still plenty of us who get married and stay married just fine. It’s not that difficult to obtain for either men or women IF you know what you’re doing. But then again, a lot of people are in way over their heads and just want to blame the other gender.

I feel like many people are yes absolutely. There seems to be extremes there are people who panic and marry the wrong person. It’s better to be single and have peace then be married to the wrong person.

What people many times see as traditional relationships really aren’t but that’s a whole other rant. Many people lack the self control, morality, loyalty, and integrity. Including people who feel bad for what they do but just refuse to ever stop or take accountability for it.

There are good people out there yes absolutely but narcissists are out and about. It’s funny because narcissists want someone who accepts them for their past lifestyle. Someone to forgive them and everything else. However, they expect you to be a saint. You can’t look at other men or women however they can lust as often as they want.

That’s many cases of cheating is that someone simply wanted to have sex with someone and got bored having sex with their partner. Even if the relationship is going “good”. The worst part is that many times the other partner can be completely loyal and unaware of what’s going on. Cheating is DESTRUCTIVE

Cheaters have definitely spoiled relationships for all good and loyal sorts of folks. And society has normalized it through the mayhem of celebrity scandals and such. We're choosing poorly as a species and now trying to justify it.

I still give props to the couples who truly and sincerely marry for life.

Having said that, there's a line from an old Eric Clapton song (which you weren't born yet to know... he's from an old band called "Cream" who sang "Sunshine of your love"). The line is, "I'll stay with you 'til my seas are dried up"... The line makes me chuckle bc THAT would be SUCH a realistic wedding vow. Much better than claiming "forever love" and then itching to bail when mid-lfe crisis hits hard on both sides.

Everyone I know is married or planning on getting married in the near future. In my opinion, this delusional mindset was developed by bitter individuals as a means of coping with their inability to establish successful relationships. I got married before and won't ever again. There's too many bratty entitled women raised poorly with that princess treatment. Most people I know that are over 30 already think serious relationships are rare, let alone want to get married after they see enough of our failed marriages happen. Marriages failed in previous generations, it's just they would try to make it work or felt obligated by family or religion to stay and make it work for the family. It's just different today because society has changed again.

I prefer loyalty but that’s largely because I allowed myself the space and time to experience life and get to know various types of men when I was in my early 20s. I learned how what kind of partner I like, what kinds I don’t, and what kind of relationship I want. And I found a man who wanted the same thing and didn’t feel threatened by the fact that I have a past.

Far too many women have terrible morals and are completely unacceptable for a relationship. Many of them also ruined their looks with tattoos and nose rings. Nobody wants someone that is so unattractive that they would have no interest in intimacy with them.
