Am I being an ass to her by telling her she dose t have to pay me back, no one has to if I offered it to them?

When I go to the vending machine I’ll get sometimes get he for her when I want something. She always accepts the gift if she wants something.

Some times she insist on paying me back but I tell her she doesn’t. It Is not a big deal to me, because I do this with all types of people; but, I want out of the “frendzone “ so I’m rethinking things.

Am I disrespectful to her for doing this?

today I told her if we eat out this weekend she could pay for lunch.

I don’t really understand. You think you’re an ass for paying for her food? And that that’s why you’re in the friendzone? That you’ll get out of the friendzone if you start asking her to pay for your lunch?

First of all, you won’t get out of the friendzone. It’s not impossible but very unlikely. She isn’t attracted to you and has no romantic feelings, that’s why you’re her friend. I know men usually only are friends with women they have some attraction or interest in but that’s not the case for women. They usually DON’T have any such feelings for their male friends and usually she doesn’t develop any for them either, no matter what he does.

Secondly, no, you’re not being an ass when paying for food. That’s very nice of you. The reasons she says she can pay you back is because she feels guilty that you pay for her all the time, she doesn’t want to feel like a burden to you and don’t want to feel like she owes you something in return for everything you buy her. Not because it’s wrong of you to do it.

Let me just correct you on a point. Men are friends with plenty of women they have NO attraction to. I don't know why you'd think that they have to have at least SOME attraction. They're just friends. Now maybe it's possible that SOME guys may choose to rebuff friendship with some women because they're afraid those women might misconstrue thier friendship as attraction. But thier not rejecting thier friendship because they have no attraction. I suspect this is no different from a woman in the same position.

I'm in same boat bro. I lost at least 400 for the two times I visited her. It all started recently as I woke up to reality from a deceitful 17 year old relationship based on countless lies!

It's your choice if you want to buy people food. I don't know how she feels about it to be honest. Eventually you will get to a point where it will be clear if she likes you as more than a friend or not. Good luck.
