my boyfriend told me he likes skinny girls, but what weight would be considered truly skinny for a girl whos my height? currently i weigh 92lbs, but I think I should weigh less to meet his desires. I really want him to be attracted to me, and I really dont mind losing weight so please be honest! he likes girls that are really skinny so yeah
1 yI'm actually attracted to girls that are petite, slim, and fit. 90 to 110 pounds is usually in that ideal range when the girls are 5' to 5'4" ish.
I would say based on your weight and height, I agree with your boyfriend's taste. You probably have a really attractive figure.
This is my ideal kinda figure for a girl:

If you're 92 lbs at 5'1", then you're already plenty skinny. If you lose any more weight, you risk being unhealthy.
I think you're just fine as you are, and hopefully your boyfriend is alright with that. If he asks you to lose more weight, that would be a problem.

He's never asked me to do that ^_^
1 yDo you know how many women are only 5/1? Ariana Grande and Lady Gaga are only 5/1. I always thought they were taller. 😲

There's plenty of people who are my height and weigh less than me without being "unhealthy" my sister is the same height as me and she's perfectly healthy and she's in the 80lb range

5' 1": 95 - 116 lbs.

That isn't gonna be true for everyone tho

Lala, you should really try being more receptive to feedback rather than defensive. You’re looking at already small numbers and trying to make them smaller, just to appease you’re boyfriend. That isn’t healthy. You can’t even say this is about you when the question in itself revolves around him, what he finds attractive and desperately trying to maintain that standard no matter how unhealthy it would be for you. Very toxic and problematic. Very concerning.
- 1 y
@HollyK21 that literally depends on whether the feedback is accurate or not and this literally isn't accurate seeing as some people are naturally going to weigh less than what is "ideal" due to genetics and whatnot. If I eat healthy, have 3 meals a day with snacks, and excersize, my weight usually goes down to the mid or low 80lb range. This is why I am saying that she's literally wrong
- 1 y
i said if i ate healthy like ate a balanced diet with all the nutrients I need. a carrot isn't a meal. can u maybe use ur brain
- 1 y
why do u think being a bio major is a flex lol u literally shared 1 link of ideal weights to be at certain heights and acted like its the universal guideline to what a healthy body shpuld be, I've never been above 105lbs which is still in the "healthy" weight range but I ate horribly and had a binging problem at 105 and did little to no excersize, is that still considered healthy to you?
- 1 y
AND LASTLY that link you shared is based off of the BMI system which has already been proven to be inaccurate 💔

You know what’s definitely not a major flex, Lala? Assuring you’re body is skin and bones to meet your boyfriends desires. Altering anything about yourself for a fucking man and praying he’ll stick around at the end of it all. You’re here going on and on about Abby’s knowledge, but where is yours? Because your way of thinking when it comes keeping a man is the dumbest shit I’ve seen on here in a long time and quite a shameful position to be in. At the end of the day it’s your body and your weight, we don’t care what number you want to be at. But don’t invite people here to talk about it and then be so fucking combative because. Like no one would comment if they knew a full blown argument waited on the other side when you disagree. You’re so emotionally immature you should’ve never asked this question, because you didn’t want genuine feedback that’s for sure.

@HollyK21 I was politely disagreeing at first, but when Abby INSISTS on information that is wrong and doesn't let up, of course im going to feel defensive. I dont get why ur so pressed about what I want to do with MY body and if you read the update, my boyfriend is caring and sweet and he tells me all the time that my body is fine the way it is. honestly i just feel like u guys r just jealous lesbos or something
- 1 y
Lala, nobody is pressed about your body, YOU asked for feedback on it. Abby’s information is not incorrect, you just disagree with how she’s coming at you with it, which is partially why I’m saying you’re emotionally immature. Nobody said your boyfriend isn’t caring, sweet or any of that shit, because this isn’t a conversation about his character. We are talking about YOU and your choice to stay as skinny as possible for him to stay attracted to you. That has nothing to do with him being nice, polite, etc etc it’s his preferences and you’re doing your damndest to stay within it. If you think being blunt with our honesty equates to jealousy and lesbianism, when we are literally addressing the topic not just randomly speaking to you out of no where, then I don't know what to tell you. Grow up I guess.

Obviously BMI is not going to be completely accurate from person to person, it isn’t meant to be a diagnostic tool for one individual. It’s just a general assessment. You gave your height and weight, BMI is basically going to generalize where you should be at. You’re 93, 2 pounds off from the source Abby provided and you act like it’s the most inaccurate shit on earth lol as if it’s not used in current time by healthcare professionals. Talk about forgetting to stretch before you reach.

What Girls & Guys Said

Anonymous(45 Plus)1 yGuys do not give a 💩 about a woman's weight. This is something a woman obsesses about. A guy only cares if she LOOKS fat. And even that is up for debate depending on the guy.
I used to work with this woman that was dieting. I asked her why. She said because she's fat. I asked her where she was hiding it. She told me she weighed 225lbs. And that is obese and I told her REALLY?
Now let me first start by saying she was 5'11". Taller women are going to weigh more! They just are! I don't get why your gender act like a woman who's almost 6 foot is somehow magically supposed to weight the same as one who's 5'. But let me also say she had curves for days! And I'm not talking curvy fat. But some women don't take this into account. Some women are just blessed and when they put on weight it goes to ALL the right places.😆 she was one of those people.
Do yourself a favor. Just live healthy and stop obsessing about weight. We don't care!!

1 yAt 5'1", weights around 95–105 lbs are often considered slim or petite, but "skinny" is subjective and varies by body composition. At 92 lbs, you’re already at a low weight — losing more could risk your health.
Please prioritize your well-being over anyone’s preferences. A loving partner should care about your health and happiness, not just a number on a scale. If he values extreme thinness over you, that’s a red flag. You are enough exactly as you are. 💖✨

1 y92 lbs is already skinny. Don't lose any more weight. Your boyfriend needs to be aware that the random things he says have consequences. You don't want to end up with some kind of disorder where you're basically skin and bones.
00 ReplyHe's dating you so he already is attracted to you. And 92lbs at 5'1 is skinny.
10 Reply13.5K opinions shared on Dating topic. 92 pounds is already pretty light at 5'1. Do not try to lose weight for any reason, particularly not because of some off-hand remake from some man.
